The BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety has been a well-known quality standard for more than a decade. Therefore, our company follows the international standards and guidelines. In January 2011, The Belgian Chocolate Group was the first Belgian chocolate company to obtain the AA+ level of the international BRC food standard and the Higher Level of the International Food Standard (IFS). These are the highest possible standards to obtain in both systems. Certification towards this standard assures our customers that our Quality Management System is a good working system which complies all requirements of the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety.
The benefits of being BRCGS certified is the assurance that our Quality Management System is compliant to the requirements of the standards. We have voluntarily chosen for the unannounced audits, as we believe this is the most correct way to perform audits. The unannounced audit option ensures that we maintain the highest level of quality throughout the whole year.
Finally, we also have a halal certificate for our products. As a result, the products have been produced in accordance with the imposed standards and meet the demanded quality requirements.
